Memorization
In this section, you will combine all the line segments and commit the entire lyric to memory. Note, Memorization is always the most challenging step of Rhythmic Phonetic Training. It will require a lot of brain power and attention, so if you are mentally fatigued from the last steps, you may want to take a break.
This task can take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour (if you find yourself working on it longer, then take a break and come back the next day). If you are struggling to commit the entire line to memory, be patient and trust in your brain's ability to learn new things. Remember, this is a new cognitive and motor skill you are developing, and these things aren't supposed to come easy. Actually, its the struggling that is building your phonetic infrastructure. Your brain is just like a muscle that adapts and grows after exercise.
You will find that after a night's rest, everything you found extremely difficult today will be extremely easy tomorrow. So let that motivate you through the rest of this lesson.

The Audio files below repeat the original audio chorus several times on loop.
- Start by reviewing the rhythm using the URB audio from Basics.
- Move on to the 30% reduced speed, and sing along with the artist until the end of the file. Do this as many times as it takes for you to feel comfortable singing the lyrics.
- Once you are comfortable, sing the lyrics out loud to yourself 5 times in a row without the aid of the audio. Be patient when trying to recall the lyrics from memory, as the actual act of recall is a very powerful way of committing the lyrics to your memory. If, however, you are unable to recall the lyrics, sing along with the audio several times again.
- Move on to full speed once you are comfortable singing the lyrics from memory, and repeat the process.
